Faster than a speeding bullet...

...at least in the normal publishing world! Mega-congrats go out to Maya Banks, Samhain author and current title holder for the Speedy-Sales Award!

The scoop -- last Friday, Maya signed with agent Roberta Brown. Thirty minutes after making this decision, she received word that Roberta had e-mailed her book to Berkley. By Monday afternoon, she had a two-book deal.

Way to go, Maya!
